First Communion

Over the last several years, I have been praying the Novena for the Return of Lapsed Catholics primarily for my children.  On Thursday of last week my son called to inform us that 2 of my grandsons were receiving their First Communion.

Alleluia I said aloud!  We had know idea that my son, his wife, and my grandkids were attending Mass every week.  We just assumed that they were not going to Church because every time we visited them, Church was never in their agenda.

I shouldn’t have been so surprised because Our Father always answers our Prayers.  Not always on our time but always on God’s time.

Our Prayers will continue and have advised my son to talk to his sisters and get them back to Church and in some cases, have them begin the RCIA process.

The Novena will continue and hope the Lord provides us with another “close” moment to him…

    Normand,
That was great to read about your grandsons. I talk to my girls about Holy Communion during our evening prayers. They still don’t really understand but you grandsons are getting to have a special relationship with Jesus. Its still probably a lot to take him and I think we all can say that still as adults. Still learning about of faith. I am just so happy for your grandsons and all the great amazing children receiving their First Holy Communion.
