Joseph Dutton

Here in Hawaii we are so blessed to have two (2) Saints associated with our State.  They are Saint Damien & St. Marianne Cope.

St. Marianne Cope’s replacement in the servicing of the lepers in Kalapapa on the Island of Molokai was Joseph Dutton.  I have been attempting to contact the Joseph Dutton Guild who are the lead group in trying to get Joseph Dutton canonized.  I’ve had no luck until recently.  It all started in Church.  I went through my inventory of “prayer cards” and put aside a bunch to bring for the folks that attend our parishes daily Mass.  When I got to Church, I handed this bunch of prayer cards out to the faithful.  After Mass, I was tapped on the shoulder by the couple who always sits behind me at Mass.  To my surprise, she handed me 2 prayer cards.  I immediately looked at them and was filled with happiness as the prayer cards were for Joseph Dutton.  Didn’t even know these existed.

Well that’s not all.  That afternoon I received a call from a member of the Joseph Dutton Guild asking if I would help with the investigation.  Goose pimples came upon my entire body and I gave the caller a resounding answer of yes.  So we spoke a few more minutes and I was given my first assignment.

The above scenario can ONLY be sent by God Our Father!  It also shows that things happen in our life in “God’s Time” not “Our Time”.

Thanks Lord!
